Process

We offer a highly personalized approach to investment management through our eMoney® process, tailoring each client's plan to help meet his or her individual needs. Bringing this plan to life requires a highly disciplined investment process that starts with our first meeting. We then guide you through six phases:
Phases 1 & 2

Phases 1 & 2

Discovery — This phase centers on our initial investment planning meeting. Our questions will help us to understand your personal financial goals and objectives. As we learn what is most important to you, we will develop a long-term investment strategy based on your specific needs and desires.

Strategy — In the strategy meeting, we present an in-depth analysis of your current holdings and an investment road map to help us focus on your objectives and how we are going to pursue them. We will lead you in the final selection of investments based solely on your specific risk tolerance and needs.

Phases 3 & 4

Phases 3 & 4

Implementation — In this phase, your assets are moved to the appropriate investments in the most tax-efficient manner.

Monitoring (for advisory clients only) — One of our most important responsibilities is keeping this entire process on track and ensuring that every action is consistent with your objectives. We accomplish this through stringent oversight and review of the investments.

Phases 5 & 6

Phases 5 & 6

Review — Another key element to our process is the review of your portfolio and investment plan. This meeting is scheduled as needed to keep you informed of any issues that may affect your investment plan, and it also keeps us informed of the ongoing changes in your personal situation.

Fine Tuning — This phase grows out of the review meeting. As issues, either personal or financial, arise, the fine-tuning process begins. Since it is our desire to optimize the appropriateness of your portfolio as best we can, we stand ready to make adjustments as needed.

Based on accepted statistical methods, eMoney uses a mathematical process used to implement complex statistical methods that chart the probability of certain financial outcomes at certain times in the future. This charting is accomplished by generating hundreds of possible economic scenarios that could affect the performance of your investments. Using Monte Carlo simulation this report uses up to 1000 scenarios to determine the probability of outcomes resulting from the asset allocation choices and underlying assumptions regarding rates of return and volatility of certain asset classes. Some of these scenarios will assume very favorable financial market returns, consistent with some of the best periods in investing history for investors. Some scenarios will conform to the worst periods in investing history. Most scenarios will fall somewhere in between.
